About
Seed 130
Seed130 is more than a gallery—it’s a living lab for ideas. Located at 130 Fenchurch Street in a reimagined former retail unit, the space has been designed to foster experimentation, dialogue and collaboration between artists, scientists, communities and the wider public. Its open-plan layout offers flexibility for multimedia exhibitions, immersive installations, performances, workshops and talks, creating an environment that evolves with each new activation.
Conceived as a meanwhile cultural intervention, Seed130 serves as a creative testbed for themes that will inform the long-term future of the site and the broader neighbourhood. The gallery’s programme explores critical issues around climate change, environmental resilience, ethical innovation, and the role of creativity in shaping a sustainable urban future.
Throughout its 10-month run, the space will host a curated mix of solo and group exhibitions, public events, panel discussions, and educational programmes aimed at schools, young people and local communities. The events will be delivered in collaboration with key partners Invisible Dust and the Eastern City Business Improvement District. It will feature work by leading contemporary artists alongside projects from grassroots organisations, cultural institutions, and science collaborators.
130 Fenchurch Street
Seed130 is part of the wider redevelopment of 130 Fenchurch Street, a major new project led by developer
CO—RE on behalf of Aviva Investors. This transformation will deliver a next-generation mixed-use building in the City of London. WilkinsonEyre designed 130 Fenchurch Street with planning advice from DP9. The meanwhile programme at Seed130 offers a preview of the site's cultural potential, creating space for dialogue, innovation and public engagement while the long-term plans are in development. It reflects the ambition to embed creativity and sustainability at the heart of the new 130 Fenchurch Street.
